One of the things in the toy area of any store that our son goes directly to is the ride on toys. He is always asking for a jeep four wheeler. Why couldn’t he just ask for something smaller like a Kung Zhu pet? No, he wants a $300 12 volt jeep that speeds along over 5 mph.

I guess part of me is even somewhat jealous. They didn’t have these kinds of battery operated riding toys when I was a kid. What I wouldn’t have given to have had one. Probably best that they didn’t because who knows what I wouldn’t have gotten into.

Now that he is 4 I think we will go ahead and get him one this year. I’m just debating between going with the less powerful 6 volt models or the more powerful 12 volt models. Fortunately, we have a big enough area at our home that he should be ok and not get out of sight on us before we know it. Now if I could just figure out a way that I can fit inside the jeep and drive it myself.
