The Stokke Xplory stroller, while not as expensive as the Inglesina Classica, comes with a higher price tag than most strollers do. While we were doubtful of the high cost of the Stokke, it does have some impressive features.

What we felt was a major selling point of the Stokke was also our favorite feature- the adjustable seat. This seat offers the most versatility in its positioning that we have found available elsewhere. What was most impressive was the seat’s height. When looking at some of the other luxury strollers such as the Bugaboo or iCandy, the rear-facing seat position places the infants on a much lower seating position. However, the Stokke allows the seat to be raised up enough that the baby is positioned very close to mom. This height also allows the stroller to be placed right next to a table, which then can replace the use of a highchair. The stroller also has a large detachable bag that can be used to carry diapers and anything else that you need when you are on the go.

We did find some disadvantages to this $1,200 stroller. As silly as it may sound, we felt the biggest disadvantage to be the lack of a cup holder. While one is available to add on for $23.95, it really should be included for the initial price tag. As for the construction of the stroller, it would feel more like a luxury item if it didn’t feel so plastic.

Even as great as the seat is on this stroller, it must be removed before folding the stroller up for storage. This, as well as the fact that it could stand to be more compact when folded, hampers the Stokke’s convenience.

In the end, the Stokke’s adjustable seat could make the price more acceptable to the buyer. However, we would like to see it come down in price to make it a bit more affordable.
